From Chopsticks to ChopValue - Classic
The process begins with ChopValue urban harvesting from over 100 upcycling partners - from famed Izakayas to Fortune 500 companies.
Next, the chopsticks are sent to their micro-factory where they’re sorted and coated in a toxin-free resin before going into a specially designed Kiln for 8 hours for sterilization and tempering.
Once properly tempered, the chopsticks are ultra-compressed into highly densified tiles - forming the literal building blocks of the tabletop. The tiles are then handed over to ChopValue’s team of artisans tasked with the curation, assembly and finishing of the tabletops.
Because of the elaborate nature of the production process, the Omnidesk ChopValue - Classic can only be produced in micro-batches and not mass produced like our other offerings.

A very famous Japanese proverb that you’ve most likely heard growing up but there is truth to it. The humble bamboo might not be everyone’s pick for the bastion of strength but bamboo’s flexibility coupled with its tightly packed molecular structure allows it to withstand everything you can throw at it and come back unyielding and unwavering. With a tensile strength of 28,000 per square inch versus 23,000 for steel, it’s simply…strong.

Bamboo can grow to full size in just 3-4 months in the right conditions, compared to 3-4 decades that is needed for timber. Pesticides and harsh chemicals are not essential in the cultivation and harvesting of bamboo which results in a process that is both clean and green.
